Julie Hutsell is a licensed acupuncturist in California, and a nationally board certified Oriental Medicine practitioner. She has a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley, and a Masters degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego.
Julie first experienced the benefits of acupuncture and Chinese medicine when she developed Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) in her arms from computer use. The pain was virtually incapacitating. At her worst, she was unable even to lift her arms to brush her teeth. Julie turned to acupuncture as a last resort. She had tried physical therapy, chiropractic care, biofeedback, occupational therapy, and psychotherapy. While all of these modalities offered some relief, either physical or emotional, it was not until she started acupuncture treatments that she began to notice profound changes. Eventually she decided to pursue the study of Chinese Medicine so that she could offer people the same benefits that she had experienced.
Julie has worked with several leading acupuncturists in the fields of pediatrics, orthopedics, and women's health and infertility. She has a special interest in treating women's health and infertility. She specializes in the treatment of gynecology, infertility, fertility enhancement, pediatrics, acute and chronic pain, headaches, digestive disorders, mental and emotional conditions, and musculoskeletal issues.
Julie treats with a combination of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, eastern nutrition, and homeopathy. She has a gentle touch and creates a nurturing and relaxing atmosphere for her patients.
